ReadProof for Confluence — Documentation

Read confirmations · scheduled reviews · auditor-ready evidence. Questions: support@readproof.net

Installation

  1. Find ReadProof for Confluence on the Atlassian Marketplace and select Get it now (a Confluence Cloud admin is required to install).
  2. Approve the requested permissions. ReadProof requests only page-read access and app storage; it stores no data outside your Atlassian environment.
  3. Free for up to 10 users. See the Marketplace listing for pricing tiers.

1. Read confirmations (on a page)

  1. Edit the policy page, type /Read Confirmation, and insert the ReadProof macro. Publish.
  2. Readers see the current version and click “I have read and understood.” The confirmation is stored with the user, the exact version number, and a timestamp.
  3. When the page is edited (a new version), the confirmation resets — readers must re-confirm the current version.

2. Owner & scheduled review (per page)

  1. On a page, open the ••• menu → Apps → “ReadProof: owner & review.”
  2. Owner: assign a document owner accountable for the page.
  3. Who must confirm: select the users required to acknowledge this page.
  4. Periodic review: choose a cadence (e.g., 12 months), select Configure review cycle, then use “Still accurate — sign-off” to record that the owner re-verified the content. The next review date advances automatically.

3. Governance dashboard, campaigns & evidence (admin page)

Open ReadProof from the Confluence Apps navigation.

Overview

Coverage (assignments vs confirmations) and overdue reviews at a glance.

Campaigns

Create annual/quarterly re-certification campaigns: give a name, list the page IDs in scope, choose a cadence, and create. Assigned users re-acknowledge the current version within the campaign deadline.

Evidence pack

Select Generate evidence pack to produce an auditor bundle: an acknowledgment matrix (who / which version / when), review history, owner sign-offs, and a control-mapping file linking each record to ISO 27001 Annex A / SOC 2 controls. (In v1 the content is shown for copy; a one-click file download is on the roadmap.)

Data & privacy

ReadProof is Forge-native — all data stays in your Atlassian environment. See the Privacy Policy.

ReadProof produces evidence and helps keep documents current; it does not determine compliance — that decision is your auditor's. Not legal advice.
